Morning Reds fans and welcome to the ECHO's live Liverpool transfer blog. With the World Cup in action, the Reds have been linked with a host of stars currently on show in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
From talk of moves for Yan Diomande and Ayyoub Bouaddi to rumours of a return for Darwin Nunez, it's been a lively few weeks on the transfer front.
Of course, the capture of Spanish international Victor Munoz means Andoni Iraola has already begun his recruitment and more is expected to follow.
Stay tuned to see what transfer news develops throughout the day.
Harry Wilson was a Liverpool player for 16 years, and he is in demand this summer as he's set to become a free agent.
The Fulham star dazzled last season and has a queue of suitors lining up to secure his services. When the Reds sold Wilson to Fulham in 2022, they inserted a 15 per cent sell-on clause in his deal.
A similar clause has already paid off this week, with Bobby Clark's £7million move to Derby County from RB Salzburg earning Liverpool an easy £1.2m.
The Athletic are now reporting that Leeds United are on the verge of snapping up Wilson and the player's camp is now working on an agreement.
But, because Wilson will soon become a free agent, the Reds will miss out on any sort of financial boost when Wilson does finally find a new club and completes a free transfer.
Legendary Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has been working at World Cup 2026 as a pundit for Magenta TV and covered Argentina's clash with Austria this week.
The German coach was specifically asked about Austrian star Konrad Laimer and revealed that he wanted to sign him for the Reds while he was in charge, but the player ultimately ended up joining Bayern Munich in 2023.
Klopp said before Austria's 2-0 loss to the history-making Lionel Messi and Argentina: "What I can say about Konrad Laimer is that, in my team, he would play as a number six.
"I wanted to bring him to Liverpool to play that role. But then he went to Bayern."
The World Cup might be in full swing, but that hasn't stopped Liverpool from getting their transfer business underway for new boss Andoni Iraola.

Liverpool are among the sides linked with Moroccan starlet Ayyoub Bouaddi.
The 18-year-old midfield phenom has wowed at World Cup 2026 for his country, sending tongues wagging around Europe.
However, Real Madrid, another of the reportedly interested parties, now prefer Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernández instead.
That's according to Spanish publication AS, which claims that new manager Jose Mourinho believes Fernandez is the ideal fit for his project and does not value the less experienced Bouaddi as highly.
A boost for the Reds? Only time will tell.
Andoni Iraola is Liverpool's new manager, having arrived from Bournemouth, and there have been various reports suggesting he might attempt to bring some of his Cherries players with him.
Reds legend John Barnes is having none of it.
The 62-year-old reckons there's not a single one of Bournemouth's squad who would improve Iraola's Anfield XI. Read the full story here.
Hello from the ECHO sportsdesk, here in Merseyside. Which, on last check, isn't Manchester.
Warm, isn't it?
Anyway, a bit of news on Liverpool's pursuit of a new midfielder. Basically, they aren't at the moment. So there's not much in any of those links with Felix Nmecha in terms of any interest becoming serious any time soon.
That will be because Liverpool have Dominik Szoboszlai, Florian Wirtz, Ryan Gravenberch, Alexis Mac Allister, Curtis Jones and Wataru Endo already at the club, not to mention youngsters such as Trey Nyoni and Stefan Bajcetic.
A lot, then. However, should any of those be sold or let out on loan in the near future, then things could change.
In summary, watch this space. Or more specifically, this blog. At all times.
Aston Villa are believed to be eyeing a move for West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen this summer.
According to The Athletic, Villa made their interest in Bowen known, though no official talks between the two clubs have yet taken place.
The forward has been previously linked with Liverpool, having been a known favourite of former Reds manager Jurgen Klopp.
It is further reported that West Ham are holding out for a fee of around £50million for the player.
German football outlet Bulinews claims that Liverpool, along with Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Manchester City, have made contact about the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund and Germany midfielder Felix Nmecha.
Nmecha has impressed in Germany's midfield this summer but is under contract with Dortmund until 2030. Sport BILD have stated he has a release clause in the region of £70million. However, this doesn't activate 2027, meaning his club are under no pressure to sell this summer.
Yan Diomande has been urged to resist the temptation of moving to Liverpool this summer - with Florian Wirtz used as an example of the troubles he could face.
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Leicester City defender Steffen Freund believes the teenager would be best served staying in Germany for at least another season to help avoid the issues Wirtz has faced at Liverpool.
“Physically, he should be able to manage it," said Freund. “But take Florian Wirtz as an example: he’s joined the reigning champion and was expected to win the title straight away. The pressure on him is immense."
Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga will be allowed to leave Los Blancos this summer, according to SPORT.
Liverpool and Manchester United are said to be among the possible destinations for the 23-year-old, who mainly plays as a defensive midfielder. With the Reds looking for reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer, this could be one to watch.
It's perhaps wise not to get too excited just yet, but reports in France suggest that Liverpool may have beaten Paris Saint-Germain to the signing of RB Leipzig's Diomande.
French outlet MediaFoot has stated that PSG has “thrown in the towel”, making way for Liverpool to make a move. The club’s football advisor, Luis Campos is said to have consulted with both Leipzig and Diomande, but has turned down the chance to sign him.
With Liverpool reportedly having had one bid rejected by the Bundesliga side so far, this story could develop rapidly. Stay tuned!
Liverpool are said to have made tentative enquiries for West Ham's Portuguese midfielder Mateus Fernandes this summer.
The player has been heavily linked with Man United and Spurs, but Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool made a "call" to West Ham to enquire about the 21-year-old.
However, he added that the Reds did not follow the call with an official bid or any further conversation.
West Ham attacker Crysencio Summerville will not be moving to Anfield this summer.
The Athletic have reported that Liverpool held an interest in Summerville earlier this year but have since moved on to other targets, even though the Dutch star is expected to move on after West Ham were relegated this season.
Yan Diomande, Bradley Barcola, Brighton‘s Yankuba Minteh, Lille’s Matias Fernandez-Pardo and Koln’s Said El Mala are all said to be of interest to the Reds.
Liverpool and Arsenal have both been beaten to the chase for Norwegian teenager Eirik Granaas, according to Correio da Manha.
Porto appear to have won the race for one of Scandinavia’s most highly-rated young midfielders. The 16-year-old is already in Portugal to complete a transfer move from Fredrikstad.
Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has warned the Reds about spending big on Yan Diomande this summer, after the club's transfer spree last year. The 19-year-old is one of the most sought-after talents at the World Cup, and the Reds have already had a bid for the attacker rejected by RB Leipzig.
"I thought he [Diomande] was fantastic in the first game of the World Cup,” he told Sky Sports. “Less so in the second game, but still was a real danger.
"I think what you'd be buying is potential; it's not what he is right now. He's a 19-year-old kid, he's a young man. But when you look at him physically, he looks like he's got all those attributes.
"You think of the success Liverpool have had in the past with powerful, quick, wide men. You think of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, especially those two.
"He certainly looks like he's got those type of traits. That's a big thing that Liverpool lacked last season, pace in those wide areas.
"They've already got a signing in now from Spain, from Osasuna, Victor Munoz. Maybe they want a little bit of pace on the other side as well.
"I think it's pretty obvious where Liverpool were lacking last season. That looks like where they're going in the market. But is he worth it? Time will tell.
“As I said, Liverpool spent big last summer. Right now, a year on, we probably would say those players don't look worth it."
Liverpool have not given a green light for Cody Gakpo to leave the club this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The wide forward has been linked with a move away from Anfield following the signing of Victor Munoz and the ongoing chase of Yan Diomande.
Romano has stated that Spurs are interested, but Liverpool are said to still be happy with Gakpo and will not rush into any decision over his future.
Alexis Mac Allister has been praised by his Argentina manager as he put a turbulent season at Liverpool behind him to help Argentina into the knockout stages of the World Cup.
The defending champions secured a place in the last 32 with a 2-0 win over Austria, with Lionel Messi once again proving the difference with two goals.
Afterwards, Lionel Scaloni said: “Alexis gives us a central midfield role, he’s in good physical condition. He contributes a lot and we’re happy,”

It's becoming the transfer saga of the summer. Liverpool's pursuit of Yan Diomande looks to have taken a sharp turn with PSG reportedly upping their interest in the Ivory Coast winger.
Diomande's performances for his country at the World Cup so far will surely only see his value rise and his potential suitors swell. It appears Luis Enrique's team are now firmly in the chase.
German outlet BILD have claimed that: “Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain are also seriously considering signing the Ivorian."
The Arrival of Victor Munoz could be a significant threat to Cody Gakpo. The 22-year-old Spanish winger, as well as the club's ongoing chase of Yan Diomande, could leave the Dutch star all at sea when it comes to his place in Andoni Iraola's team.
Gakpo has shone at the World Cup so far. However, the 27-year-old scored seven goals in 36 Premier League appearances this season and struggled in general. What does the future hold for the Netherlands star? You can find out by reading the full story here.
Messi, who turns 39 on Wednesday, scored his 17th and 18th World Cup goals against Austria in Dallas on Monday as Argentina beat Austria 2-0. Messi also missed a penalty in the game, but that didn't prevent him from shattering Miroslav Klose’s long-standing record as the top scorer in World Cup history.
Working as a pundit for German TV, Klopp was seen embracing Messi at the full-time whistle. Afterwards, the former Reds boss simply said: "We'll never see a player like Messi ever again."Too true, Jurgen.
Guessing just who Andoni Iraola will select in his XI for his very first competitive Liverpool game is no easy feat.
Who will get the nod to partner Virgil van Dijk in defence? Which midfield will Iraola opt to start with? Who joins Alexander Isak in attack? There are a ton of questions ahead of Liverpool's opening weekend trip to Newcastle and we've taken a look at how the Reds could look when they face the Magpies.READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
Bradley Barcola has been linked heavily with Liverpool this summer. The PSG star is currently on duty with France at the World Cup and has been viewed as an alternative to Yan Diomande, due to his ability to play on both flanks.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are "maintaining contacts" for Diomande and for Barcola. The transfer guru has claimed Liverpool "love" the Frenchman but any transfer fee to bring the 23-year-old to Anfield could well be north of £60million. We'll be keeping an eye on this one.
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister looked back to his very best as Argentina beat Austria 2-0 in Dallas on Monday night, thanks to a brace by Lionel Messi.
Argentinian publication TycSports gave the 27-year-old a seven out of 10 in their report. They wrote: "A good match, this time playing as a central midfielder, more focused on a fixed position than rotating between attacking and defensive duties.
"Argentina needed him there today, and Colo responded very well, especially in his understanding with Enzo [Fernandes]. It's also important to understand that some flashes of brilliance can go unnoticed when the required roles aren't those that offer the most dazzling performances."It'll be a big boost for Mac Allister. He struggled with the Reds this season and was given a rough ride by his home nation's press after Argentina's first World Cup group game, a 3-0 victory over Algeria.
Lille will demand at least £60million for Moroccan midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi this summer, according to Sky Germany.
Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly interested in the teenager, who has shone at the World Cup for the African giants. However, those thinking he could be a budget-friendly option for the Reds are in for a rude awakening.
It wouldn't feel right without Yan Diomande being the first name to grace this blog of a morning. The Reds are currently exploring a way to bring the 19-year-old winger to Anfield, but RB Leipzig's eye-watering fee could prove to be a major obstacle. So, what about alternatives? Our writer Richard Garnett has looked at three possible stars who could make a move to Anfield instead of Diomande. Lille's Matias Fernandez-Pardo, Brighton's Yankuba Minteh and FC Koln's Said El Mala are all given a closer look. READ THE FULL STORY HERE.
Porto appear to have won the race for Eirik Granaas.
Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Fredrikstad youngster - but according to Correio da Manha, Granaas is set to undergo medical tests before signing his contract with the Portuguese side.
As well as the Reds, O Jogo, via Sport Witness, are reporting that Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund were all interested in signing Granaas.
Bradley Barcola has long been linked with a move to Liverpool - and the Reds have made a new attempt to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star.
That’s according to Le10 Sport, who are reporting that Andoni Iraola’s side have not only made a new attempt for Barcola, but he’s keen on the Reds’ project and excited about the idea of playing in the Premier League.
The France international's contract with PSG runs until 2028.
Liverpool are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs monitoring Eduardo Camavinga’s situation at Real Madrid.
That’s according to Spanish publication Sport, who are reporting the Reds, along with Chelsea and Manchester United, are keeping an eye on developments involving Camavinga.
Real are keen to sign Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez this summer, and Camavinga could be sold in order to make the deal possible.
RB Leipzig are reportedly standing firm amid Liverpool's attempts to sign Yan Diomande.
Sky Sport Germany reporter Philipp Hinze has posted on social media that 'only an offer abouve £86m could persuade Leipzig to change their stance'.
Indeed, he goes on to explain that Leipzig's thought process takes into account that the player does not have a release clause, will only increase in value and is currently on a long-term contract.
Crucially, he says that talks remain ongoing with Diomande's agents regarding a new contract for the 19-year-old.
